not seen him play techno tho so i'll reserve judjement on that till a later date

I don't rate Fergie much, whenever I've seen him play hes just been plain boring, way too dark and dirty for me.

No one DJ will be able to please everyone, im biased obviously seeing as ive known him for years but im well chuffed at the exposure he now gets. And after changin his style from HH, which he received alot of stick for.

tom - every time i've heard him play i've been ashamed to admit it, but he was superb this year @ the radio1 stage @ glasto

 

he did over scratch mind so the scratching sound was getting a little tiresum towards the end of his set, but @ least he used diff samples each time

will definitely be checking him out at global gathering, i would love to see the guy. my mate who has the cd still rates him as a quality DJ but i just think that CD sounded piss-poor to me.

i only heard the cd once on the way to glasto and to be honnest i couldnt really hear much of it over the car engine

 

his mixing @ glasto was still heavy on his spin backs etc. very much his style of mixing i've heard him play in the past. i've never really had a quibble with his mixing tho - just his tune selection

i really dont like calling ne dj a sell out, but his dramatically changed his style sooo many times in the last 5 years, each time cuz 1 genre has become more or less popular

Dont think so mate, Fergie is just a mate. I dont totally idolise him. My signiture and that is just a bit of a laugh.

 

I made this post cos i like the cd, thats all.

 

And anyway, how the [censored] is he a sell out? Isnt someone allowed to change their style??

Fergie played HH when he was young, and his tastes changed. Doesnt everyones? He wanted to make the change but like anyone he had a career to think about so didnt just change overnight, but developed it over a while. Now he is happy with what he plays.

Do you suggest he shouldve kept playin HH just to keep some looned up, hoover lovin clubbers happy?

Im sure its not to everyones liking, but deffo go and see him at GKGG
