Indeed. Promoting a night of your own is not sumthing easy to do. My mate promoted his own night, altho not in ibiza, but it does take a lot of hardwork to plan the organisation of it all. i.e flyers, adverts, the venue, the costs etc etc. I think what you have got to remember when being the promoter of your own night is, especially in this case, of which, he was promoting in ibiza, everything has to be done by the book. Thus for it to turn out as a success. Obviously in this case, it wasn't. Money IS the most important factor when promoting your own night, so all doesn't fall through and collapse into nothing. Im gutted it didn;t work out coz I thought it was all set to be a good'n and was hoping to experience it when we go out in August Not only that, but as guyster said, ppl off th eboard went out there, and was aserted there would be work and pay, in return for them, to which obviously didn't work out as planned, and therefore, it's like a wasted journey out there, especially to those struggling to find a job in replacement for VLT. Anyway, I hope they do find a job so they are still on the island for when us lot go out in August. End of the day, everything is a learning experience. A massive experience in this case. At least if Gary is htiking of doing sumthing like this again in the future, he will be able to weigh out the pro's and the cons to make the next event he may have in the pipeline, a raging success. Thats hard enough in Leeds where i live, i couldnt imagine trying to do it out in Ibiza knowing very few people. Ive spent the last month solid with hardly any sleep flyering, postering & generally networking on my PC, tonight i will find out if the hard work has paid off! RIP VLT Maria I've been involved promoting nights on and off for over 3 years now. I've done a few where I'm the sole promoter, and they've only been small events (150-200 people) but I've still found it fvcking hard work, and, having worked for Wildchild since the begnining, I know how much hard work (and money) goes into a big night, and I myself, for one, am happy to be part of it, but glad it's not my money or my decision making. It's tough promoting something from scratch, esp in Ibiza, where, unless you're a local promotion with a base of clubbers already there, or a reputation in the UK, you're taking on a mammoth task. I guess there's a lesson for us all WiLDCHiLD - where spacehoppers and pom poms rule

Oh, and Fuckin nice one Sarah!! You see, THIS is what it is all about. If you want a night to go ahead with the most success, you heart has GOT to be in it. Just like what you are doing. It's not a case of "il start planing it nearer the time" WHAT-SO-EVER. By "planing it nearer the time" you are most certainly in for a rough [censored] ride and in return, a kick in the god dam teeth. And you won;t like it. You have to work at it, and you have to work at it fuckin hard, you have to put all your god dam balls init to achieve a good out come. What's that saying...You have to be INIT to WIN IT.
