Maria.....best advice I have EVER been given (and advice im gonna pass onto you now so feel privileged lol) is to NEVER ask people to recmmend tunes!!

Best thing to do, is to go and listen to as much as you can, forming YOUR OWN opinions of tracks (ie, if someone says a tune is [censored], your less likely to bother listening to it...) and finding the best stuff for yourself....

2 positives come from this:

1) you will be a better DJ because of it - the fact your playing stuff you have 100% faith in will mean you will enjoy it more, rather then buying a tune your kinda happy with, based on someones recommendation!

2) your more likely to find 'special weapons'.... these are tracks few have heard because most DJs cant be bothered to 'dig to the bottom' of the old vinyl pile in record shops... I have several tunes which are [censored] amazing when played, yet not many have heard (of!) them - even DJs!!

One example of #2, is the Zen Terrorists remix of 'Real Good' by Double 6 - very few have heard of it, yet the reaction to it (even though its a few years old now!) is incredible - hhhhhhhuuuuggggggeeeeeeee breakdown which features electric guitars!!!!!

Feel free to ignore what I have just said, but I listened to it and enjoy my DJing sooooo much more now that I dig further then the 'big' tunes that every other DJ is playing, and form my own style based around that!

No probs - hopefully you will discover just how fun record shopping can be (I get well excited when I find stuff that I [censored] love laugh.gif)

when you moving to Leicester anyhow? You can have a load of my old bouncy-ish stuff if you want? (If I can find it that is lol)
