CTW DJs Phil B Posted June 17, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted June 17, 2004 i went for a cheap cd deck to start with as i didnt want to spend too much and not get the use out of it. maybe once/if i get into the producing thing more i may get something better if needed.... looks nice though Quote www.djphilbenson.co.uk - updated 28/08/
CTW DJs LiamStyles Posted June 17, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted June 17, 2004 Not 100% sure if the cdj800 can do it, but i know there are cd decks that can play 2 tracks off the same cd. I think pionneer were the 1st company to do it. But im thinking it may have to be connected to your mixer with the digital cables as apposed to the usual red/white phono cables. not sure??? CTW Members tommy Posted June 18, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted June 18, 2004 Righty: my mate Vic has 1000's and it has two outputs, so you can use it as if it were 2 decks. Wish I'd never said nuffin now !!

Correct. The Denons are the only CD decks i know of that does that. Basically if you you stick a compliation cd in each deck and press play on one of them, it'll play a track from the first deck,m then fade out of that and into one on the second deck and keep on alternating between the 2 decks until the both cd's have finished. (or am i missing the point?)
CTW Members LiquidEyes Posted June 30, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted June 30, 2004 (edited) I thought "relay play" meant it would play the whole CD on one deck before sending a message to the other deck to start playing the other CD. Ideal for parties where you don't have someone to DJ properly - it means you can stick 2 albums on, but you don't have be there at change-over time; you can just put the next album in the non-playing deck in advance. Maybe I misunderstood! Edited June 30, 2004 by LiquidEyes
