As i'm not into music producition yet and a bit of a Trancer, i keep hearing this being referred to as a particular sound in Hard House Tunes, but have no idea what it is?

Can somoene give me an example or post a sample of one!?

its hard to describe rather than making the noise verbally. its called a hoover because it sounds similar to the old style vacuum cleaners. if you have HOSTILE by Glazby then its the sound that makes you hair stand on end in the break!

Hostile making hairs stand on end in the break? Dunno about you bu it makes me wanna stab my ears in so I don't have to listen to the torture. Terrible, unimaginitive bosh bosh hoover fest. But yes that's a very good example of a hoover. Also used in tracks like Paul Maddox - Tension to very good effect.

The sound in "Hostile" that makes you want to vomit? You mean the gratuitous swear-word? smile.gif
