I use cubase (badly), mainly for sequencing, starting to learn a bit about VST's, and will need to learn about the audio side of it.

I will do my best to help ya, but must confess I don't have it installed at the moment, it has issues with Reason 2 that I can't be arsed to figure out as I have no MIDI kit attached at the mo.

Liam, I am intrigued by hardware sequencers, do you mean the full-on, hard wired, move the pins type things, or can you get stuff that runs its own proprietry software?

[Loads of real tech-head analogue peeps swear by Hardware sequencers, adn I've always wondered why]

Am 100% Reason 2 based at the moment (can't have my limited hardware set up). Oh, and I use Soundforge to mess about with the odd sound, but I should learn it better

i've used cubase on many occasions, but every time i go back to using fruity, it may not have some of the features that Cubase has, but it's a lot easier to use and u can work a lot faster in fruity.

Just opinion tho, Cubase is extremely powerful if used properly

you need me i'm magic E, hehe

if you master fruity there really is no point changing applications unless you find the one you are using to be lacking in some area..

i dumped cubase in favour of logic audio platinum just after cubase 5 came out (after using cubase since my atari days).. i hate all the windows that you have to deal with in cubase... its so messy its untrue... they didnt even tidy it up for cubase sx..

theres no way id go back to cubase after using logic
