LOVETECHNO is Huddersfield's only pure underground techno night.

It is a non profit making set-up all money made is put back in,

and the aim is to let the djs get on with it because when they're

playing what they love, every one can tell, and it shows on the

dance floor.

For a promoter to pull off a techno night anywhere with any amount

of success is no mean feat. This is because techno, especially the

European looped variety on show here, is the most resolutely hard

and underground of all strains of dance music, meaning a lack of

the leery blokes or tourists that normally help to fill up the

average nightclub. Congratulations then, to the promoter of this

new monthly at Abraham's, who managed to pull off his debut event

with a busy crowd and hard, uncompromising music policy.
