Cookie problems?

Iis anyone else experiencing login problems?? When I come onto the site I have to login despite logging in and clicking the 'remember me' box??!!

 

Is anyone else having this problem?

Admin, is there a cookie problem on the site with the migration etc??

The migration itself hasn't happened yet.

 

Be very wary with Internet Explorer 6 (if you're using it) and cookies.... One minute they can be working fine with a site, the next it'll just fook up and won't let you use a sites cookie, regardless of privacy settings.

 

If this is the case, you need to go into Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Edit and add clubtheworld.uk and community.clubtheworld.uk to the allow list...

 

Or it could be something completely different... I haven't got the problem here.

 

Oh, one last thought, the cookies do expire, and every so often you do have to re-log back in....

I dont use IE6 I use AOL

 

The problem seems to have fixed itself now!

It's yer own fault then. They're not called AOhell for nothing!

AOL browser is [censored]... aol crashes and u lose everythin, stick to IE.... even tho aol have supposedly sorted this problem out in their new aol 8 i wouldnt risk it!!

I cant believe AOL is still going - I was with them when I first got connected to the internet (years ago) and within a couple of months I was NOT impressed.

 

I guess the reason they keep going is because its easier for the newbie to get set up and not have to worry about configuring more than one thing - i.e. CD straight in and you're done. Plus their advertising is far superior.

 

I then moved to Demon and will remain with Demon forever

aaaaaaawwwwwwwwww leave poor AOL alone. ive been on AOL for years (although i do admit not of my own choice, as this is my parents computer) and i think its cool. lol connie talks to me and tells me ive got email and welcomes me when i sign on the internet!

 

and to be honest ive never really had any problems with it!

Yeah I agree! Ive seen AOL get slated to [censored] and heard all the stories about them but in all honesty Ive never had a problem in the 3 years Ive been with them!

 

The only gripe I have with them is that at certain times of the day the service is a bit sluggish, this is probably down to US users accesing the service though!

 

I was with Claranet befor AOL, now they were [censored]!

Have you used it?

 

I've been on it for 3 years and hardly had any problems. And thats dial up.

yeah, iv used it when i first got online and didnt know i could use IE because i wasnt as computer literate as i am now!! It was crap - lose connection, lose everythin!! Like u said on a post somewhere u had a long reply typed up but u lost connection and lost it!! Use IE at least and u dont lose ur webpages/anythin already typed up but not sent etc!!
