I think people are discussing it primarily because: 1. it involved 5 people--a relatively high number 2. they were quite young which is tragic in itself and makes it quite possible that members of a UK clubbing website could actually know them and 3. they all [censored] died. The point is, Jon, as you must already be aware, very few threads within these forums ever discuss events of this nature so, obviously, this is an isolated example--one being discussed precisely because of it the reasons above and its extremely tragic nature. Your comments really just speak to your ignorance and overreaching need to be an iconoclast (for whatever reason) and maintain an archly cynical attitude toward basically everything which I'm assuming you think is cool. But it's not, so sorry.

Some people may feel the need to discuss this, they may themselves have lost family or friends through similar incidents, or in this accident. Or they feel compassion for fellow humans.

 

Can someone explain to me why it is not allowed to be discussed in the "Serious Issues & Debates" forum. Would the jokes forum be a better place to post this?

 

If you don't like the idea of people talking about such events, just move on and look elsewhere.

spot on well said!! your description of the incident is the point i was tryin to make but probs didnt put it accross too well! no doubt anon will never come out now he knows theres a little bit of support for my opinion

in my town there are a hell of a lot of "boy racers" who drive round like fools!!!

 

the shockin thing is most of them ave crashed there cars and been hurt badly/not so badly!!

 

but they still drive round the streets of a little market town like its a fookin fomular 1 race track!!!

 

and a lot of the girls ave now started drivin like it 2 prove a point 2 the lads!!!

Fair enough. This has to be the first I've seen of any such posts and to be honest when I heard the news I was shocked at the number who had died in the crash and how it had occured.
