I have

MK2's

MK3D's

Ltd's

MK5G's

the LTD's are basically a MK3 but parts are (both have dipless pitch) Gold Plated, MK5's are the same as 3's, but they have +/- 16% pitch via use of another button situation by the pitch reset one (that is on LTD's & MK3's) - plus MK5's have a wicked blue target light!

Vast improvement i'd say, i've never really experimented going above +8 on a pitch, i dont really need to with the stuff i play, but these give alot more scope without going to extremes like Vestax

Best bit of advice i can offer, it to try them yourself

If you've already got MK2's etc, you may as well keep em - after all whatever model you have they are still Technics!

yeh ive got stanton str8-100's at mo, but need to upgrade so am looking into which technics to purchase. a lot of people are saying different things about each model, but it is all down to personal preferences.

mind u the +/-16 pitch does entice me!

I paid £949 for the pair, which is relatively cheap mate

Need a mixer to go with them now.....but which one?

those are abit out of my price bracket at mo!

mixer would have to allen & heath xone 64 at mo if u have the cash or pioneer djm 600.

or if u want same as pioneer but for £220 go for the behringer version which is exactly the same! although no-one is sure of build quality at mo as only just released

only on the pricer model (the 'g' range) the bog standard mk5's r just mk3's with a slightly modified tone arm if i remember rightly
