One step at a time eh!!! We are trying to get it so that all the CTW DJ's will get a chance to play!! Obviously this is a new venture & with good support etc, your idea of a techno room may be happen, we want to try & give everyone a chance, but all depending on numbers etc, so the more support from CTW members the better!!

At present as it stands we have been given the main room, which we have been asked to keep with a hard dance music policy, as Smile will also be having their own crowd in there. How ever i've also arrange for other CTW DJ's to play in the other rooms on that night. And if all goes well we could possibly have a CTW room for future events there, where we can have our own music policy.

Really we just want this one to go "so well" that CTW are asked back, then we can work on it

Boner is right, if we don't plan too far ahead, and concentrate on making this a success, then it means there may be more scope for variation in the future.

 

I.e. A room starting off funky, through to techy, trancy and hard.

 

However, the Hard Dance scene is also incorpirating other elemants such as Techno these days, which means certain music is now played where it previously would not have 'fitted in'.

Yup Ali, this is what we are hoping for in the future, but obviously this all depends on how well we can, between us all, blow the promoter away with our CTW talents!!!

 

At the moment, smile is primarily a hard house/trance event, but as the new venue has four rooms, im sure with more discussions we can put more idea's forward to the promoter etc, albiet that the first event is a success!!

I like the look of this, am quite excited as no other clubbing site has done this on quite a big scale, i mean obviously they have had dj nights but a room full of they're own djs is going to be a quite an experience.

 

I really hope this happens, i got excited about the ctw dance festival thing with farley etc and then butch told me it wasn't happening, honestly u guys!
