CTW Members BenRW Posted June 21, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted June 21, 2004 haven't bought any in ages so went on a rampage and came back with cd singles: Ron Van den Beuken - Timeless (keep on moving) nice little trance track this, pity about the cheesy vocals, but with vocal and dub mixes by ron van den beuken and ratty i don't have to have them Golden dance classics - Italo Disco 'Pulstar - Hypnosis' and 'end title (blade runner) cheesy disco tracks, interesting to see how i'm going to fit these into a set Gladiator - We Are Free fairly cheesy trance imo, with the lost brothers remix being the strongest mix Pedro Del Mar - Harder ?! been looking for the import i found a few years ago of this for ages as it has the Raul Pablo Sanchez mix and i now have tracked one down again. My normal copy will prob go now as have the mixes from that on this one as well Junior Jack - E Samba all the mixes of this for £4.99, its gotta be worth it. 9 mixes and a radio edit and the accapella. Haven't listened to all the mixes yet so can't decide which is my favourite yet Armin Van Buuren feat Jusitne Suissa - Burned with desire loved the original on his album and the mixes on this are top notch: rising star vocal and dub mixes, riley & durrant and the ronski speed dub Albums Hybrid - Morning Am really loving hybrids stuff atm and this album has not been a disappointment yet. DVD included as well which i will have a quick look over when i have time. Can anyone reconmmend any other artists that do similar style breakbeat stuff to hybrid? Members of Mayday - Anthems Have always loved their tunes that i have had before and this album has opened my eyes to some of their other stuff. On cd1 are original mixes, some edits and some full length versions, and of the edits i only really want to get hold of the full version of 'judgement day'. Cd2 has remixes of their greatest tracks including mixes of 10 in 01, culture flash, sonic empire and also has a 10 minute mash up on the end of most of the mayday anthems. The booklet as well is informative explaining the history of members of mayday explaining that it originated as the theme tune to each of the mayday events in berling compilations trancemaster 4001 (41) i have loads of this imported compilation series and this is the latest. Both cds have a load of good tracks but the ones that stand out for me are 'terry bones feat. Fred Baker pres. Waterplanet - Return to innocence' on cd1 and 'Nu NRG - Connective' on cd2. The rest are all a bit mediochre and not really memorable, but still great tunes, which i feel is the way a lot of trance sounds now. The only other tune on there i would reckon is a truly great track is 'Basic Dawn - Pure Thrust (Nu NRG rmx)' but is just a radio edit so not of particular use to me for mixing Quote I was going to post a gag about flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality but it's just flogging a dead horse.
