CTW Members Pulsar Posted July 22, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted July 22, 2003 The filter on the Pioneer is [censored] compared, beleive me, and its 1 button touch, good if u dont know what your doin, u can master it in about 3 seconds. You can only control the volume and frequency of the LFO, which aint good enough. There's no way to actually control the sweep yourself and there's no resonance control at all. You wont think you will until you use them, then you'll think every other mixer is pants for only having 3 freq eq's. Needless to say one mid is a high mid and one is low, just gives you more control over the sound. You need to find somewhere that will demo you one, it took me 3 months to find somewhere i could play with a 62, no shops had them in stock and wouldn't order them without a deposit. You only have no control over it if you have no idea what your doing with it.... the auto-bpm fx works wonders cos you can then work out from that how much you need to adjust to get it perfect for what you want! And anyway, the 'dip' of the beatmatched filter sounds awesome as it is
CTW Members Pulsar Posted July 22, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted July 22, 2003 Anyways i don't wanna get into a debate about pioneer and a&h, they are both fantabulous mixers, with vastly ranging qualities. It took me a long long time to decide which to buy, i went for th a&h cos i thought it was the better one for me, and it is. The pioneer will suit some people better than the a&h aswell, it's all up to personal disgression. But no1 can dispute, the a&h is a lot prettier!!! Think the A+H is a better mixer, but the fx uni on the DJM600 puts it on par.... As you say, both great mixers, and both are highly respected by most of the top DJs... As for which is prettier - the a+h is an ugly mo-fo
