Serious Birthday! @ The Cross 16th August

An absolutely bloody great night! Hats off to serious for actually listening to us and turning people away at the door so it wasn't so jam-packed and sweaty. Si, Luke and Eddie were top notch and Guy Ornadel had me stomping to some hard old techno...not expected, but very much enjoyed.

 

As for free champagne and wigs....more of the former less of the latter...Don...listen!!!

 

Great to see everyone, but let's send Uncle Luke off in style next month...anyone who's ever enjoyed Serious needs to be there next month. It will be SPECIAL

I had a fantastic night. Not really my kind of music at the beginning of the night but I really started getting into it half way through Tall Pall set and it just went from strength to strentgh after that. Was great to finally meet everyone.

I'm curious, what came first the Serious regulars or CTW?

 

What I mean is that there's a relatively large portion of Serious regulars who are also on CTW, did they join CTW after they first attended Serious?

 

As far as I can gather none of the other clubbing websites seem to have such a link with Serious despite it being such an established night... not that I'm complaining or anything!

Serious, and the serious people came first. Evilhedfuk then got the serious peeps on board... the rest came from there. As far as I'm concerned, other groups would [censored] it up... Serious is all about the quality of people, and some people I've met off other sites are utter wankers.

 

In my humble opinion, Serious@The Cross is the best kept secret in clubland. I mean look at what they did to keep the crowds down - they turned away so many people. How many money grabbing promoters can you think would do that? And if you look at the Serious message board (www.seriousworld.com), you can see how vocally appreciative the clientelle are, and that the promoter knows this and joins in.

I couldn't agree with you more, Serious works so well because of the people and the real community feel. Even the big name DJ's really get into the Serious spirit and Luke Neville is ultimately one of us - that's why he'll be missed so much after September.

Just had to take out of my european tour ( ) to come on here and say what a fantastic night saturday was. Could go on all day saying how great it was but frankly I haven´t got the time. Nice to meet lost of new peeps - especially sparky - and of course all the CTW / serious regulars
