CTW Members Beckie in La La Land Posted July 30, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted July 30, 2003 Garlands leave Pin Up to host more free parties Garlands have left Pin Up and are going back to their free party roots. This is the Press Release: Hide the Absinthe & lock up your daughters, the boys are back in town! Garlands have given up their residency at Pin Up and return to doing what they did so well last year...that is to throw the finest free parties the island has ever witnessed. On Tuesday 5th August Garlands returns to San Antonio with the biggest Free Party the island has ever witnessed. After the phenomenal success of last year's adventures, Garlands return to Kanya, the scene of their finest hour, with what promises to be the most outrageous absinthe fuelled, punch-drunk party you will ever subject your weary body to. Joining Garlands legends Dave & Huey will be Rob Tissera playing a funky set, Ibiza's finest Elvis impersonator, Helvis, flying in over the sunset, Emma Warren singing the Ibiza Anthem 'She Wants You Back', the Garlands Entertainers getting up to all their usual antics and a very special secret guest. In typical Garlands style, it's free to get in, there'll be free Garlands punch, free absinthe and a free bar-b-q, not to mention the free toys that accompany every Garlands party. The dress code for this party is Army so dig out your coolest camouflage, kit yourself up and get ready for action - your disco needs you! Not content with taking over Kanya during the day, Garlands battle on after midnight over in Eden for a mighty after party as they join forces with the Gallery & Clockwork Orange. The massive DJ line-up includes Rob Tissera, Tall Paul, Sister Bliss, DJ llogik, Jez and Charlie & Guy Ornadel in the Main Room, with Garlands Dave & Huey taking over the Funky Room. Discount after party tickets are available from behind the bar at Kanya and usual ticket outlets. CTW Admin James Posted July 31, 2003 CTW Admin Share Posted July 31, 2003 I dont understand where they are getting all their cash from to fund these events ? I honestly thought they'd just be a one off for one year only ? What with having to deal with the re-building of the original club as well ?! still, nice1 Quote James@ClubTheWorld.uk CTW Admin | ClubTheWorld.uk | Twitter | Instagram Clubbing the world, together ... CTW Members Tara Posted July 31, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted July 31, 2003 It doesn't surprise me that Garlands are moving out of Pin up, it was very quiet when we went there. Sure the free parties will go off much better!
CTW Admin James Posted July 31, 2003 CTW Admin Share Posted July 31, 2003 anyone trying to make any serious money out there this year is gonna be in trouble methinks - it was well quiet when we were there (ok it was beginning of season) but i've also heard many other reports and lots of friends/workers coming back early. people just dont have money to throw around and be flamboyant at the mo Garlands are doing the island a huge favour again this year - most of my funky house mates are only going again because of Gs Why cant other clubs follow suit ? CTW Members Tara Posted July 31, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted July 31, 2003 Yeah its been well quiet this year. I think people are going elsewhere because the clubs are so expensive and really do take the piss (I mean, Pacha 10 euros a bottle of water ffs!!!) There is only one Ibiza afterall, but its going to die out if things don't improve soon.
CTW Promotors CreamyC Posted July 31, 2003 CTW Promotors Share Posted July 31, 2003 I reckon they save some money throughout their clubbing year. But what a [censored] good idea though. Not many clubs do this ... *coughtidycough* Quote CreamyC™ Email: CreamyC@ClubTheWorld.uk MSN: CreamyCTW@Hotmail.com Mobile: 07956 462 642 (T-Mobile)
