Yes but you need to be sure people know about them, by having a regular new letter or something similar. Some people do not always have time to read every single post put up on here!

so how does having a news letter make peeps show up???

Life doesnt always run smoothly you know... its in the up & coming events etc it takes two mins to read, same as a news letter would take to read, if you have time to read a news letter then you've time to read the thread!!

We not distributing a news letter again until its got really clear and useful information in. We all get far too much shite and spam in our in-boxes as it is - we dont need more.

Also people started accusing us of selling their emails / subscribing them to other sites' / newsletters which is NOT the case and never will be.

Newsletter will be started again but [censored] knows when. I say check the main page for now (which is also still being worked on and still only very basic)

My point is, people are more likely to check their email every day and less likely to trawl through event suggestions.

Also, many of these weekenders are not 'confirmed' until the last minute. It is fine arranging them in advance but if they are not confirmed you may as well not bother. I need to know soemthing is confirmed before I start making arrangements to go.

if people are that interested in the meets/events/weekenders and actually part of the community believe me they will check the main page and/or forums once a week !

I dont accept someone saying they dont have time to check the events forums when they have time to whinge about their love life in relationship issues and spend most their time in random bollox.

Well as I was out in Ibiza when the Edinborough meet up was arranged, I wasn't in the best position to be checking up on here all the time! I was busy trying to live ffs! There is life beyond CTW believe it or not... rolleyes.gif

Not to mention the time, money and effort that would be needed for newsletters to be sent out (e-mail). As if the CTW organised trips forum is already clear enough as to when and where a meetup is planned.

I don't do much on this planet, but David Blaine has taught me that I could do less!!

Hang on, it was confirmed. It has been confirmed for a while. Hoew many [censored] ppl did not turn up though ?! And we didn;t even find this out untill we got there. Yeah. Is that kev's fault ? Is it [censored]. I cant [censored] believe that Kev sorts all this out and is getting moaned at about it. Thats absolutly [censored] WRONG. Just because in your eyes it went tits up - I would even dream of starting to slate the way it turned out. Im sorry but he deserver alot more respect than that. You, amongst others, didn't even stay for the saturday evening or the sunday day, and we had a fantastic time. You can't slate us lot for not turning up on the friday, when we spent more time in bournemout that weekend, then you did just to go to slinky.

The plan for the weekender wasnt for us to go to slinky then [censored] off back home. It was to relax in the sai location, go round a few pubs, sit by the seaside and all have a laff and write up a review at the end of it to be displayed on CTW to share with insiders and outsiders, what places like bournemouth have on offer. Also, to tell people how much of a great time we had and to invite people out with us the next time round. That goes to all the newbies aswell. It's what we are about.

Isn't it ?

I dont disagree but I hear one or two people slag the site off when its not working for 'them'. They then piss off for something 'better' only for it to then [censored] up and then what? They come running back to ClubTheWorld.
