If members see you (the main people involved in the running of CTW) pulling out and [censored] up events at the last minute, it will discourage them to coming to future meet ups. This site is about finding reliable clubbing mates right? So if you're not going to show, you should state that from the very start, where possible. So when they said they couldn't make it for Friday, but were there all weekend, thats a bad thing? Can't see how that would put anyone off. Coz Slinky is on the friday and most clubbers would be mainly interested in going to Slinky and not to cheesy pubs/clubs. does it have to be about clubbing the whole weekend?? No like maria said earlier it's about meeting up & checking B/M out sitting by the beach etc!!! Quote Techno, Techno, Techno

CTW Members Tara Posted August 4, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted August 4, 2003 No it doesn't have to be all about clubbing, but most people who join CTW will be looking for clubbing mates. Not just people to go down the pub/beach with as they probably have that already!

Shut up Tara, you are talking [censored] and you dont know the direction of the site, if you want to go clubbing go clubbing, if you dont, you dont have to, its not a competition as I've already said many times so dont you dare accuse people of being lightweights, its NOT what its about. CTW Admin James Posted August 4, 2003 CTW Admin Share Posted August 4, 2003 The "[censored] up" seems to be that 3 people have/had an issue with 3 of us not making Slinky on Friday night. Had I been there Friday night I still may have not made it to slinky in either case! As with Ibiza last year, and this year, the group will be split at certain points. CTW Promotors Lisa Posted August 4, 2003 CTW Promotors Share Posted August 4, 2003 Not true, yes we all like to meet up for clubbing but thats what is different about this site & why I myself like it, it does show spirit in that Kev does arrange things other than clubbing for us to do, we all go out at weekends & bump into peeps we have met thru clubbing, but how often do you see them other than that?? not alot, at least this way we giving the chance to hook up other than in a club!!! Yes all very true! But I think in terms of meeting new members, they might be just as keen, if not more keen to go clubbing! If I had clubbing friends to begin with I wouldn't have joined CTW! Did everyone complain all night that James, Maria and CreamyC couldn't make it on Friday, when they could have been enjoying the clubbing night out? If they couldn't make it for whatever reason with however little notice, thats a shame they couldn't get there, but I wouldn't chastise them for it. I'm not that selfish. CTW Members Tara Posted August 4, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted August 4, 2003 It matters because its not pub the world, or beach the world, its CLUB the world! And I never said this weekend was a [censored] up, I said it was a shame that they never made it after they arranged it all etc! I do however think it could have been organised better but (hopefully) we live and learn from our mistakes!

CTW DJs LittleMissLoud Posted August 4, 2003 CTW DJs Share Posted August 4, 2003 Excuse me, this is not directed at anyone, but I just feel I need to point a few things out. Kevin works his arse off arranging meet-ups, and is sometimes left with no money to go on them. He is completely broke, and while some people are off to Ibiza, he can't afford to go because he is so broke after all the money he has spent on getting to meet-ups in the past, and having phone bills up to £300 due to texting and ringing people when sorting up meet-ups. Yet he has never once whinged about this, or expected sympathy, even though he is called a 'lightweight/ letdown' for not making some of the meet-ups cos he can't afford them. Because of that, me and him can't even afford to go on holiday ourselves now. He is also extremely stressed out because of all the hard work he has been putting into the site recently, and the fact that it all seems to get thrown back in his face, which is disheartening. And sometimes he feels like giving up, but I will tell people this, if it weren't for him, this site would not be the same, and if he was stop organising meet-ups, things would change for the worse. And does it not show how selfless he is, when he is prepared to arrange meet-ups for others to enjoy, even though he knows he cannot afford to attend himself? No wonder he wants to give it all up anbecome my full-time record carrier Rant over, but be nice peeps, cos you ain't all aware of the lenghts he goes to for this site. xxx Quote I'M HUNGRY!
