A key theme that came from all the leaders was recognition of how hard you are all working at present. The economic climate has meant that resources have been very tight and as a result every-one has had to work harder and longer to meet customer commitments. I think we all deserve some time off! So, as tomorrow is predicted to be a record-breaking temperature, the leadership team thought it would be nice to give Associates some time-off to enjoy it. Therefore we have decided that tomorrow afternoon from 1pm will in effect be an extra half day holiday for all European Associate). ... ... ... I then sent out an email to my associates saying ... anyone up for getting seriously B*LLOXED tomorrow afternoon ? So expect to see me in a right mess at the london drinks tomorrow night ! I think some of you deserve permanent time off! So, as tomorrow is predicted to be a Weekend, the leadership team thought it would be nice to give select Associates some permanent time-off to enjoy it and then no need to return to work anymore! Therefore we have decided that tomorrow and the following weeks will in effect be your unemployment or "holiday" for all who have drawn the short straw. ... ... ... My letter looked a little like this. I've since enjoyed most of the hot days we've had, thanks to my old job.
