NIPPA 'DEEP' DOWNEY DJ/PRODUCER (UK)

US GARAGE, UPLIFTING VOCALS & DIRTY UNDERGROUND RHYTHMS

As far as we know the only DJ ever to have turned up to play in a 35ft Howitzer Tank, on horseback, and hovering in a UFO, Nippa's musical talent and showman antics have rocketed him to the top with his first ever club gig at the Ministry of Sound after only two months of mixing. Next came residency and promotion of the famous Penge parties - a 2000 sell out every time described as 'The Best Party of '95'. acquiring Nippa cult status and a loyal following.

In demand Nippa became main resident for Pussycat Club at the Zap in Brighton, now in its 7th successful year billing Nippa alongside Danny Rampling, Judge Jules, Fergie, Alex P, Harry Choo Choo, Erick Morillo, Gorden Kaye, Allister Whitehead, K-Klass, Sister Bliss, Seb Fontaine, tall Paul, Ferry Corsten, Mauro Piccoto, DJ Tiesto, Push, Woody Van Eyden, Anne Savage and Lisa Lashes. Nippa was recently nominated for 'Best DJ' in Brighton by the Juicy Awards 2002. Winning it in 2000 and being runner up in 2001 for 'Best DJ & Club'.

His promotion OUTRAGEOUS is a themed happening with the wildest of entrances, the craziest of creations with one of the most glamorous and stylish crowds in London - voted as a 'Top 20 nights you must go to in '99' by Mixmag, Club of the Month in Ministry magazine, and constantly Pick of the Week & top House Night by Time Out Magazine, whenever there is a party on. Nippa started a monthly Friday residency in 2000 'BLAG' @ MINISTRY based on the nations best residents Oakenfold, Judge Jules, Paul Van Dyke, Brandon Block, Alex P and Nippa playing to a packed club and allowing him to showcase his harder edged sound.

Nippa has been producing since 1999 and already achieved national

recognition for his work, remixing Dive - 'Boogie'. Reaching No.3 in

Record Mirror Chart, No. in Update Buzz Chart and No.35 in the Nationals.

He's also worked on some very naughty bootlegs, which have been aired by

Judge Jules on Radio One as well as TV interviews on Channel 4's 'Nightlife' & 'Trainspotters' programs and appearances on ITV's Club-a-Vision, and DJing at the Brighton Essential Festival 2000 - playing the main two hours in front of 8,500 people, and taking the roof of to phenomenal effect
