Ibiza 2003 - a bit of a review

f*ck... feel pretty knackered after just a week out there... not sure how you guys are going to cope with 2 weeks+

 

 

IBIZA TOWN

spent most of my time in the Ibiza Town area, sharing an apraptment with 4 mates near the Marina (inbetween El Divino and Talamanca beach)...

 

if you're going to be based out in a different part of the island, Ibiza Town is definately worth spending a good bit of time at IMO...

 

 

LOVED

- the music, some really great tunes this year... looking forward to them hitting he UK clubs!

- the openess and feeling like anything can happen

- Ibiza Town... cool bars... some great restaurants... funky clothes shops!

- the beaches, The Jockey Club down at Salinas beach is still a great place to hangout (esp. if you go when it's not too busy)

- the diversity of people, love how cosmopolitan Ibiza town is

- the Space Terrace, if you're into funky house/ or even if you just fancy something a bit different and v cool 'In Bed with Space' was a really really great morning/ afternoon (Wednesday 8am-3pm) after Underwater at Pacha... biggest recommendation from me anyway...

- Pacha... went to Underwater (Thuesday night) and Subliminal Sessions... both were good nights and club is still the best in the world i reckon...

- oh yeah... and reading the '4 Agreements' on the beach

 

 

DOWNERS

definately out weighed by the good points... but a couple of downers included:

- the 'fashion police'/ moneyed/ slightly bitchey atmosphere you sometimes get on the east of the island (Ibiza town, Space, El Divino, Pacha)

- drink prices in the clubs

- missing Cira Loco (spelling???) at DC10... from what i heard it is meant to rock...

- not being out there for one of the Garlands parties, but ya can't win them all

 

 

 

the island's still a great great place to party IMHO despite any problems it's going through at the moment
