Simple question this!

What are you peeps listening to when its not 4/4 dance orientated?

absolutely everything.

 

From bands like the darkness, the coral, the foo fighters, the Prodigy, to 80's music, to raggae, to hip hop, electroclash, chill out, and I like film scores, even classical.

 

I am always looking for inspiration and influences from other forms of music to bring into my productions and DJing to some degree. Its Producers / DJs who surround themselves only with dance music that usually end up sounding like another producer / DJ.

Their album is fuckin awesome! fav track is the current single "I believe in a thing called love" - absolutely rocks!

Quite a range - audio bully's, some hip hop like Gangstarr - The Ownerz, but I would say most of the music I listen to is electronic based - rock and indie just down float my boat.

pop and rock like teenage fanclub, big star, paul westerburg, screaming trees, primal scream, guided by voices, strokes, etc. i enjoy downtempo stuff like belle and sebastian too.

 

when i'm not listening to 4/4 dance music i like downtempo stuff like boards of canada and lemon jelly
