CTW Admin James Posted September 16, 2003 CTW Admin Share Posted September 16, 2003 The other thing with Tony's CDs is that they are always recorded perfectly in terms of levels & claritiy. I've only just started fooking about recording mixes direct to CDRW at home and I keep fooking up the levels after about 3 records in as I keep putting the levels up and up on each new one mixed in (i love to hear the new track coming in louder and louder :s) anyway, top stuff tony, i cant remember - do you record to PC then CD or direct to a CDR ? Guest
I usually (when i have a writer that works) record onto PC, then CD, but each to their own? Unfortunately i had to give Tony a demo on tape the other night until i get a new writer....
CTW Promotors Lisa Posted September 16, 2003 CTW Promotors Share Posted September 16, 2003 He records straight to cdr, then uploads to pc for track-marking!! We had a chuckle about the tape mark I would have thought for someone who owns so many decks etc, you would have a recording equipment?? CTW Admin James Posted September 16, 2003 CTW Admin Share Posted September 16, 2003 nice one mate, AGREED - DEFO get the BEST quality recording direct to a CDR - which was why I bought one. I noticed there was a lot of noise when going straight to PC, and it wasnt just down to the cables. Problem with PCs is the interference surrounding them. Guess I could upgrade soundcard but dont think this would necessarily solve the problem. Nice one for track marking, I was using some other naff app but will give vegas a go if its easier. (defo gave up on doing track marks manually on CDR whilst trying to bring the next one in ! lol) I strongly suggest everyone on here records straight to a CDR seperate as the clarity is 3x better. CTW DJs Tony P Posted September 16, 2003 Author CTW DJs Share Posted September 16, 2003 yep totally agree about the quality factor mate. and video vegas is easy as pie to track mark with. I mean even i can do it....so it must be easy just gotta remember to "disc at once" when you come to burn, so it records it as one mix

CTW Members goshow Posted September 17, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted September 17, 2003 Tony, what can i say about this cd? I wish i had the ability and the vocabulary to give it the write up and credit that it deserves. As soon as i heard the first vocal i was hooked, just as i was with all your other cd's. Outstanding tune selection and seamless mixing are the order of the day and you've hit both of those on the head. Once again thankyou for this musical experience. I know i've said it about your other demo's but i'll say it again anyway, I would have gladly paid decent money for this cd. Cheers
