CTW Members Claire DC Posted September 9, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted September 9, 2003 Ok excuse my lack of technical terminology here lol. Im doin this as im listening to it... at 00:49 i think the way it progresses is a bit too sudden and undefined.... am up to 1:30 now has been a bit repetative with the bassline so far and sounding very flat and samey.... 2:24 this just seems too sudden for the break.. again not really defined imo, in the "breakdown" ur bassline overpowers anythin else goin on in it. At 4:00 it cuts into a higher pitched what ill describe as a cowbell sound this is good and moves a little bit away from the the flatness that i feel the tune has had so far although i still notice the underlying flat note is still there quieter tho, 4:24 that drum didnt sound right there like it was just put there without much thought, 5:36 same sounds comin in again... 6:00 that drum again i dont think fits quite right, 7:12 again same sound coming in... 7:36 i think it cuts off too harshly here.... 7:46 i dont think u need to bring in anythin extra here like you have done... Now i feel like a bitch but you wanted my honest opinion and this is just my thoughts on it... someone may think different to me. All in all i think u have some good sounds bein played about with but i found the track itself a bit long and samey... like you have tried to make a long track but filled it with all the same stuff try takin the flatness out of it, also id say take a good minute off the length of it and then see what you can do with it there and try and get it sounding less samey, look at the arrangement a bit more and i think try to plan it a bit better... keep working with it though hun!! CTW Members Mr Happy Posted September 9, 2003 Author CTW Members Share Posted September 9, 2003 cheers claire - the outtro is just a copy of the intro hence the little extra comming in when it wasnt nessisary. i didnt realise that it would sound like that until after i exported the wav. so it was top of my todo list (ie sorting it out) thanx 4 ur comments - been a great help and u've been far from bitchy.
