any baseball fans?

Where did I say other sports were stupid? I believe I did not.

 

I actually quite enjoy American Football (I am a Dolphins and Redskins fan....one from each league), but alas it tends to be on far too late in this country (The superbowl invariably kicks off at about 2am Sun night/Mon morning).

 

Basketball doesn't do it for me, and I find baseball too slow, but I should imagine that baseball is rather like cricket, something that interupts your sunbathing and drinking with occassional flashes of genius

a timely bump for this thread.

 

the red sox beat the yankees tonight - again baffled by wakefield's knuckleball - to even the series 2-2.

 

elsewhere, the cubs lead the marlins 3-2. a cubs-sox world series would be wonderful

i do enjoy watching the baseball, and had loads of fun watching the Red Sox piss all over the Blue Jays (i think it was them anyway) when i was over in the States a few years ago.

 

Unfortunately i dont get to follow the sport anywhere near as much as id like to, but im still a Red Sox fan at heart

The atmosphere is electric. And thats just watching it on TV.

The atmosphere in the stadium when i went was awesome, they had fans from both teams sitting next to each other and debating the game all the way through, you can drink in the seats!!!, just far superior to most of the sporting events i have been to over here (apart from the super league!)

i used to live 100 yards from fenway park - it's one of the coolest ballparks in baseball.

 

although i live in california now i'm also, if you could not tell, a red sox fan

i also had the great opportunity to watch the Blue Jays lose again that holiday, but that time at the Skydome, which was again a really good time.

Never really got into it. Watched it on TV a couple of times. I suppose if you got to a game you will have a lot more appreciation for it.
