CTW Reviewers Wub Wub Posted September 12, 2003 CTW Reviewers Share Posted September 12, 2003 Right, need to get myself a CD writer, as tapes are becoming a bit too old skool even for me. Anyone recommend a good hi-fi seperate CD writer that is cheap (ie within a students budget)? Quote Harder. Faster. Better. Stronger. Badder. Smarter. CTW Reviewers Wub Wub Posted September 12, 2003 Author CTW Reviewers Share Posted September 12, 2003 I don't know, I just like the feel and look of hi-fi seperates. CD Writers always leave me feeling a bit cold. For me, doing mixes has got to be a hands on thing. Plus I like to have something to throw across the room when I [censored] up, which you can't do with a computer file. Quote Harder. Faster. Better. Stronger. Badder. Smarter. CTW Members Shenlong Posted September 12, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted September 12, 2003 erm, just hook your decks up to your computer, burn it onto cd, and if it fucks up, throw the computer/freshly burnt cd across the room? CTW Reviewers Wub Wub Posted September 12, 2003 Author CTW Reviewers Share Posted September 12, 2003 No. Plus my computer is a bit of a swine. No sound card and a tendenancy to have overrun errors on the CD-R. Grr. Quote Harder. Faster. Better. Stronger. Badder. Smarter. Wub Wub

Guest
My mate got one from Richer sounds, and he paid £140 i think, its a decent enough thing, simple to use etc. i think his is a Phillips or Pioneer, cant remember which, i'm going to his tonight and i'll have a peek, but i think there were cheaper ones than his at richer!
