Tune of your weekend?

(TomD, re: Fabric!)

The main room was my personal fave - a mixture of dubby techy house and very stripped-back breakbeat stuff. Then they went into some very bizarre techno later on, crazy stuff! I remember that Lee Burridge and Craig Richards were playing but can't remember any other names! smile.gif

It was very good; I thought the breakbeat stuff was a bit on the minimal side, but there were some standout tracks & a lot of it did grow on me after a while. The other main room was good too (deep/funky house, the odd quite strange tribal / electro / discoey thing as well) but not really dark enough to sustain my interest.

Good night, all in all!

My "tune of the weekend" for bouncing around at home is undoubtedly:

Elite Force - "Double Black" (Thrust Recordings)

Very funky, driving, techy house. Great percussion, loads of energy. Great flipside too (trippy breakbeat action). Nice!

Liam Styles playing Renato Cohen 'Pontape' gets the thumbs.gif from me

shame I wasnt more [censored] by 1st set else I would have gone crazy to that nod.gif

As for my set....was great to FINALLY play 'crazy styles' (the track with the huge drum n bass breakdown if anyone can remember, and not a dig at liam laugh.gif) - sounded great when it was that loud icon_yippee.gif
