no you cant remove PMs ! I was kind of joking, i.e. a PM between 2 people is of course 'cliquey' in that its only between 2 people !

 

I know I was joking too James, just trying to point out that no matter how you try to avoid it, cliquey will happen, or peeps will see some others as cliquey, when not really the case!! Just that some know others better thru meets etc, but this is what this site is about & in time we will be one cliquey family!!

It's sometimes a little annoying trying to have a private conversation with a few poeple on the FAO forum as other people will butt in and start joking, often killing the conversation. The PM's where you only invite people you want to chat with is a far better way of doing things.

yes fair enough but I think peeps have worked out that if they wanna a laugh & joke they start an fao up but if it is of importance they send PM's!!!!

agreed with what lisa said, fao's are generally not meant to be serious, also even with group pm's how you gonna as easily do something all people from sat night been doing, e.g. making a fao post saying:

 

"all those at smile"

 

look through the attendance posts/rely on memory and then add those people to a group pm? i think most people just wouldn't bother.

 

if people really want to discuss something serious/keep things private they will use a pm or msn, what problems have the fao forum actually caused compared to some of the other forums which are gonna stay?

 

at least fao is amusing to read unlike most of the [censored] that's in some of the other forums, e.g. the smut forum. and also helps people get an idea of each other and encourages people to chat/banter/get to know each other better.
