At the end of the day a pair of headphones isn't worth spending a fortune on! they all do the same job!

sorry to say this mate, but thats utter bollox

i spent £30 on some cheep headphones. couldnt mix 4 [censored] cuz i had no idea what was going on when i braught the 2 tunes in teh headphones. so took em back and got my senheissers (sp) and all of a sudden i could beat match.

Well, i appear to have got my choice down to the sony's, Pioneer's, Technics and senheisser (sp).

At the mo i'm favouring the technics or the pioneers, but can anyone tell me the pro and cons of them?

ur best bet m8 is not to listen to a word of what we say about best headphones etc.

just go down a shop and give em a try and buy the 'phones that u like the sound and feel of the most.

the only thing i will point out is that senheisser (sp) is ment to be 'indistructable'. i dont really comment on this claim as i do look after my headphones so its not had a chance to break, but they r designed to b easily broken down into each individual part (so u can replace just the wire or speeker etc). where as sony has a bad track record (from the stories i've heard) in the durability market

but just take a cd down a shop and try EVERY headphone thumbs.gif

Forget all that, just ordered the Technics RPDJ1210. Purely and simply because i've just seen a picture of Yoji with a pair round his neck, If they're good enough for him, they're good enough for me! (and because miss loud uses them!!)

If i dont like em i'll sell em.

Ha Ha!

Between the top end of the market ones like the sony's technics etc I don't reckon there is a huge difference, more personal preference. Otherwise all the big dj's would use the same ones!

I'M HUNGRY!

Each to their own mate, but these do the job for me

I know you've already got your headphones, but i thought i'd have my say on the matter too.

I had 3 pairs of the Sony's and all 3 of them broke thumbsdown.gif Utter Shite, in my opinion - good sound etc, but poorly made.

The Pioneers pissed me off cos the cups keps spinning in every direction - fekkin awkward if you're constantly taking your 'phones away from your ear to hear the music on the speakers / get records out of your box / throwing yourself around like a lunatic to a wicked tune, etc

The Technics made my ears sweat, which in turn gave me ear infections all the time, so i sold them on Ebay.

At the mo i've gone back to my good old faithful Sennheisers - not had any real problems with them, apart from the leads up to the cups - they're forever getting twisted/ tangled, but the up-side is, the do sound good thumbs.gif

In general, when buying headphones, i'd suggest you go to a sound/ music shop and actually try them all out, so you can decide what FEELS and SOUNDS good for YOU. Also, don't be ruled by a tight budget - save up for a decent pair - they are an investment that you WILL get your moneys worth out of, over the years.

Well, they've arrived today.

I'm fairly impressed with them, extremely good sound quality but in all fairness there aint that much difference between these Technics and my old Senheisser (sp) EH2200.

They are however loads more comfortable. thumbs.gif
