Hi All,

Those of you that know me will know that I am a regular traveller up to the North West for weekend activities, in particular Garlands. I have heard a lot about Serious @ The Cross with people saying that it's the closest to thing to Garlands in London. I am really into my Funky House, so I'm hoping that if I decide to go on the 17th I won't be disappointed. How many of you out there go to Serious, and what do you guys think of it? smile.gif

Paul.

Imo Garlands is nothing like Serious! Serious is very 'serious' so to speak. I can't imagine seeing transvestites and the like at Serious, they wouldn't even get in for a start!

Saying that, I'm sure you'll enjoy it Pander. Where you been hiding all this time mister?

When you and Neil went to get food, and they wouldn't let you back in. They said you were too drunk.....but you weren't, you just looked it, lol.

Hi Tara,

Don't know where i've been really, just been taking a total break from the London scene. As I said in my post, I've always preferred the scene up in the north west, but the last 9 months or so I've been up there almost every weekend. Anyway, decided it's time to bring London back into the fold again, so I epxect you'll see me around. smile.gif

Hey Paul, long time, no hear mate! how's things with that fit bird James was telling me about? wink.gif

Anyway Garlands & Seious, well, kinda agree with Tara (even though we all know how much Tara hates Serious tongue.gif ). It's definitely not as 'hedonistic' as Garlands but if you after good funky house and a great atmosphere then IMO the Cross can't be beaten. And unlike garlands, you don't get chucked out at 3am.

Unfortunaltely won't be at the next one but James and I were chatting a while back about getting back up to Liverpool sometime soon, so we'll have to get something sorted.

Hi Colin,

How's you mate? good to hear from you. I'm not too bad thanks, haven't really done that much since I last saw you other than working and a trip to Hong Kong which was ace. Think I'm gonna defo go on the 17th to serious and give it a try.

You're right, you and James (and anyone else who wants to go) should come up to Garlands again, it's really starting to get back to the good old days again up there now. There are also the Fairies trips across the mersey on Throughout June, July, August. Of course, the June one has been and gone now, but the one on 25th July is going to be a cracker. It's a huge boat and the theme is all 70's pimp outfits and hotpants!! Tickets are £25. The one in July is going to be my first one, I'm really looking forward to it, apparently they are NOT to be missed.

Hopefully see you soon mate,

Paul

But that has nothing to do with my perfect style.

Anyway, that was Neil's fault, not mine.
