I think we all agree on the Technics v Vestax thing!

Which is better? NOT Technics! (though there's not much in it!)

Which is standard? Technics!

Which should you buy? Technics - unless you really need the extra features on rival TTs!

I've got two Vestax decks, but when I get a third deck I will definitely get a standard Technics.

This is correct.

happy will add his 2 cents worht here but before u do, its pointless m8y. the decision is final.

THE CLUBS HAVE TECHNICS

so if u want to play in a club, technics is your best option.

u'll be saying u dont use the kaos pad just cuz it looks to 'space agey' rolleyes.gif

LMFAO!! Happy m8y, its a known fact within the djing scene kaos pads are shite, voted by most if not all djs as a tacky gimmick, u are aware u have to rub ur finger over the pad to create any effect, can u really imagine doing that in a club, trying to remember which way to rub to make that cool 'whoooooooooooosh' noise u thought u had perfected.

not used em so cant really comment. but my point still stands

dunno where this "technics are reliable" gash comes from, i have played out on so many pairs of [censored] technics. sloppy pitch control, fuct motor. bag o'shite. my old soundlab dlp3's were better than the last pair of technics i played on. vestax = superior product, end of. plus i like the fact that when u press start the platter starts, and when u press stop it stops.

Yeah I agree, I've played on a few [censored] Technics too, but I bet the average decks in a club have been well used. I'll bet most decks would start to play up eventually if they were used week-in-week-out in a club environment.

My Vestax decks have been 100% reliable for about 5 years, but then my bedroom isn't smokey, I'm gentle with the controls/needle etc, and I don't spill beer or fag ash on my decks...

These are the reasons that half of the club decks I've played on have been knackered and a little tlc goes a long way where decks are concerned!

yes. when u press the start/stop button on a vestax deck, it starts or stops straight away, not a short while later wink.gif
