- If you get there before 10pm just go into AKA (for free), then into the club later (£15)

oops (again)... though it pains me to say it it looks like i was a bit wrong there

just had a word with the nice AKA ppl on the phone... they said that if you've got an advance ticket for The End you don;t have to pay to get into AKA (at anytime)...

like you say it does start to cost £10 after 9pm, if you haven't got an advance ticket... but once you're in AKA it only costs an extra £8 to get a wristband for The End (which is a bit pants as that totals £18, more than the £15 it should cost)

Well, another classic clubtheworld members meet up.

AKA bar was rammed, when i arrived at 10.15...Apparently Andrew was there somewhere, but i couldn't find him...James and Ma......sorry meant Elly and Tommy arrived soon after, and we stettled down in the Club chill out area to await the others. Rachel and Laurence being late cos poor Rachel, on top of being a few weeks off Graduating, was stuck on a train for two hours. Andrew and his mate had been in AKA all along, and found us eventaully. Anyway we all got together, in the end. No sign of Sharon, perhaps she got stuck at some foreign airport, no doubt her equpiment went tech.

At 11.20ish the cd was turnned off and Layo came on...he did a funked up techy/latiny/tribalish set for an hour or two b4 Mr Matt Bushwacker came on with two hours of the most Techy African electro & Tribal influenced Breaky House..3... as in 3 deck mixing i have ever heard. Complete with his '[censored] Off I'm Mixing' t-shirt he had The End rocking.

Oh didn't i mention the venue...The End, a fantastic club with an attached bar and restuarant, with a magnificent sound system, amazing lights, chilled out bar with comfy sofas area, massive dance floor, with the DJ booth in the middle, and wait for it.....a water fountain...yep real drinking water on tap for free.

Layo came back on at 3.30am for another set, which was equally good, But I had to leave at 5.00 with the party still in full swing...Anyone that stayed till 7.00, please fill us in on how the night finshed. My only mild issues are that the dance floor could have had better air con, and there were a few too many beer boy's, and tourists... All in a great night 9/10.

always... love that place

L&B and Underwater (both tope quality nights IMHO) are both monthly... so I'll definately be going back in the not too distant future...

had a great night biggrin.gif ... although as I got to AKA at 8-ish I think I started drinking too bit too early, and my memory of the evenings events isn;t that great blush.gif... 1am - 4am-ish is especially hazy... I'd never be able to write a review like Big_ee69's above...

can remember:

- being impressed by Mr Happys mate who actually stayed until the end (despite the other guys heading off at 1am-ish),

- promising Rachel that I'll definately be going to the next Serious night (need to find out when its on, but def want to go),

- meeting dj (good likeness to the avatar smile.gif ) tommy and elly,

- dancing away to some great tunes,

- feeling that the music finished way too early at 6am when it all came to an end (could have kept dancing for ages), and

- making friends with a rather cute girl

all in all a rather top night

Bollocks!

Bought my ticket on Friday, only to find out I was working for the next two days. Didn't get back home until 3.30am this morning!

Sounds like you all had a great night.

I will meet up with you guys again at some point...promise! nod.gif
