Had a great time once I had overcome the organisational headache of trying to get everyone into the Cross. Big thanks to Ed for helping me arrange the guestlist.

I felt so lucky at being able to be at Serious when the clock struck midnight. Had a real laugh and it was good to see so many people, although Fin did a CreamyC special by disappearing for ages only to make a reappearance at the end!

I got introduced to Darren Tate (aka Jurgen Vries) who was incredibly funny and really down to earth. Simon Patterson made a good recovery with his set and its great seeing the huge smile on his face when he plays his own Dogzilla track.

Tune of the night was Ferry Corsten: Rock Ya Body (Rock), can't remember who played it though...

Serious was great.

Although a bit "overly rammed", but the music was [censored] wikid.

The Trance / hard trance music that was played was absolutly blinding, some scratching all packed in aswell.

I wish I knew a select few tune that were played because some of them were well and truely ace.

Big up Trance !

And big up serious !

Nice to see you all again - sparky - hope you had a good one you big OLD gay bear wink.gif Fin - U DA MAAAAAAAAN !

xx

This is the only thing that puts me off going, the place is just too small!

I do love serious a lot so I will be back there very soon!!

What time did you stay until?

I had a few mates turn up around one-ish and even though they were on the guestlist the queues were huge and it was one in one out. Unfortunately it gets rammed when Jules plays, but I think the Cross did quite well to manage the crowds.

Hope you can pay a visit to Serious in the near future, I think Eddie Halliwell's playing next month...

Il deffo be at serious again !

Although it was so so rammed I couldnt move and I got a bit ratty because so many people were walking all over me, I should have just laid down on the floor !

Eddie Halliwell will attract a full on crowd in that place !

You'd be surprised, at the 7th birthday party when Eddie played in a star studded line-up, the crowd numbers were perfect.

I think the probs you had on Saturday were probably more associated with the type of crowd as well as the size. Jules can attract quite a blokey crowd who don't usually have anything to do with Serious or the Cross.

Am glad that Serious has helped you rekindle your love of trance, it tends to have that affect on people!

Erm...M8 that's because 4 the b'day, they turned people away, from very early on... IE "don't bother queing...your not getting in", rather than one in, one out.

This was cos a) they wanted to keep it chilled as a thank you to members cos it was the birthday, B) cos it was so bad the month b4, and c) cos it was so hot.

Tho as peeps have said.. Jules will always attract a certain type of crowd wherever he play's....

I enjoyed Saturday,(apart from one bloke hassling me) the crowds easied once Jules had fnished playing to make dancing alot easier & more enjoyable. smile.gif

Si Patterson's set was good, & so was Scott Bond's. Not sure about next months line up though.

Quality night! Scott, Commie and Simon were wicked and played music I wanted to listen to. That geezer that came on after Scott, was very talented and his scratching was flawless...but djing ain't all about turntablism...I thought his tune selection was a little raw. Jules played a good set, but too hard for me. And as everyone has said, he does attract that kind of crowd...so many bloody tourists and beer boys just wanting 'to see Jules'! Bloody hell, I even went through the funky house room and there was room to dance because every fucker was in the Serious arch!! Normally the other way round, but what can you expect from a 'superstar dj'. Can't really blame him I suppose.

Great to see so many people there...Ellie for her first Cross in ages...Rachel my little cuddleslut...James and Maria for the first time since Ibiza...that birthday boy Sparky with a beaming smile all night long...Ed and Gordana looking seriously cute (yes, Ed, cute!)...Ray with a renewed predatory look in his eye...and the rest of the Serious family. Just a shame there was no sign of my brother...although this was almost made up for by meeting the most beautiful, intelligent, funny and frighteningly similar-minded girl that I've ever met in my life...this is the explanation for the long period of disappearance...sat outside cuddled up on the sofa with her for the best part of two hours...just talking. WOW!

See y'all next month.

Finbar

Sow and thou shalt reap, oh brother.
