Everyone in LEEDS

I'm putting my house (in Halifax) up for sale this week and want to move into a rented property in Leeds.

 

Does anyone know what sort of accommodation you get for your money, e.g. how much would i pay in rent for a one-bedroomed flat?

 

Any advice/info would be very gratefully appreciated.

Depends on the area really - in somewhere like Headingly you would poss pay up to £300 per week, somewhere like Harehills £150 - not really sure on exact prices

yeah pretty much what sarah said - the student areas - ls6 headingley area tend to be very expensive with a higher crime rate to go with it! armley is quite nice - cheap and close to town

where i live is pretty cheap as well - osmanthorpe near Cross Green - just out of the centre but quite a decent area as well

Cool thanks! i've been into leeds this afternoon to have a look at areas. I want somewhere that's only about 5 miles maximum out of the centre, but only 10 miles max away from Brighouse (where i work) - dont want much do i??? lol

 

morley looks nice, and wortley, new farnley.. they're all in the right sort area/distances from where i want to be.

 

taken down a few estate-agents numbers from "for sale" signs - will ring and ask if they do rentals.

 

phew this is scary.

Got a few mates live in Morley & its ok, Farsley is nice as well but about 8 miles out of the center, have you tried looking at places like Beeston & around there?

Beeston? can't think where that is...

Beeston is the bit between morley and leeds city centre- along- the bit that Dewsbury Road runs through

cheers chuck! i've just had a look on the whitegates website and they've got a few rental properties in beeston, and some of them fit my budget - looks like this is gonna be just about feasible for me - oh thank god!

 

do u know where middleton is by any chance?

Someoen told me woodhouse is cheap, im looking round top of harehills near york road for a shared accomdation

theres some nice shared accomodation in crossgates which isn't that far from harehills, not sure about rent prices but its a really nice area

Yeah Campalena live's in crosscagte's in a 2 bedroom flat he pays £400 all bills include, nice flat but 2 expesive for me
