Hun thats awful, hope u feel lots better now. grouphug.gif

Glad u are still living life and going to Tidy Weekender. Good luck with the staying straight, I know people say its easy to give it all up but I don't think it is wen every1 else is messy around u. I believe that u can do it! And remember its about the music wink.gif lol

Its the hardest thing on earth to stay straight when all around you people are getting messy & looking to be having a wikid time.

No it isn't. We are not sheep. If you have responsibility for your actions and recognise everything you do has consequences, I don't see why it would be such a big deal.

I guess the difference is between people who go clubbing to take drugs and people who go clubbing for the music.

Ray shut the [censored] up.. certain substances are not as addictive as others, but they all are in some shape or form, do you smoke???, have you tried to give up???, it is not as easy as saying im giving, it is a lot harder & as Sarah say's above when peeps around you are doing stuff & having fun, you wanna partake too, because you enjoy it. Especially if the person in question is not ready to give up so mto speak!!

Yes, a few, not only that but it was making paranoid. However I must point out this was JUST the * and * only. Nothing like I see when I go clubbing, in all honesty, its sickening seeing monged out fools, take them to enhance a night but not to look a state I've seen some people.

See, I've never been like that. I might get very [censored] sometimes but I'm always in control of my actions. Thats why I think it will be harder to quit, cos I haven't had that wake up call.

But to me, all the talk nowadays is about getting f*cked and in all honesty thats just not how it should be, do you agree or not agree ? And it certainly shouldn't be at a point now where we have to go to hospital.

I'm the first to admit that getting [censored] is always high on my priority list. I also know that I can handle a lot of [censored]. I know we've got to be careful about what we say here but in the past I've taken a lot of drugs. Fair enough if you want to call me stupid/irresponsible/whatever. But I've always known that when I was taking them I would be able to handle them. I certainly wouldn't touch anything if it turned me into a gibbering wreck. At the end of the day, we all have different tolerance levels. I feel mine are pretty high.

You have to ask yourself is that really the honest truth ?

As much as I love getting [censored], it is more than that to me. I love the whole clubbing experience. But mostly I love the music and there is no better place to listen to it than in a club. Unfortunately its got to the stage where you can't do one without the other.

I've got a lot of respect for you for being strong enough to quit. I know I have to, and I know its not going to be easy but I will do it.

For me, I've found that yes, it takes a horrible wake up call to make me want to stop taking something. Personally, I think giving up without such a wake up call wouldn't be possible for me. I've had too many wake up calls lately and that says to me something needs to change. Stop taking anything thats put me in such a state. Simple as. I was clubbing for 2 years before I touched anything, I don't see why I can't go back to that.

I personally don't think I could go clubbing regularly and not do drugs.

I don't glorify drugs or their use but unfortunately Clubbing is better with them.

After all it was built around them in the first place.

Its not a case of you either love the Music or the Drugs.

I love House music and I listen to it everyday of my life, without even the thought of taking some drug to make it a better experience, but clubbing isn't the same its not ALL about the Music its about everything it incorporates, the people, the lasers, the smoke machines, the 6am finish and then after party and many other things that make it different from going to your local cheesy club.

I do notice the people who have the strongest opinions about this are Ray & Kev.

Both of you don't really frequent Hard House clubs which is what most peeps are debating on here, that doesn't mean your opinion is any less valid but its not your scene and I think drugs play an important part in it.

I could go to funky clubs all week long and not even want to do drugs, but put me in a hard house club I would.

Do you get my point.

Good luck to anyone who is going to try and kick it and continue clubbing without, I couldn't do it, I do acknowledge their is a definite need to cut it out cos yeah it does [censored] your life up and until you stop you never realise how much.

For me, as much as it pains me I've just got to cut the clubbing down all together and just go less cos kicking it completely isn't an option

Its a tough one. The problem I've got is that the little fellas are not effecting me any more. So, basically all I'm taking them for is to stay awake. I love going to the main club but recently I've been enjoying the afterclubs so much more and there is no way I'm going to last until midday or whatever by not taking anything. But, I acknowledge the fact that I need to stop them cos they can't be doing me much good.
