Photo's and links to photo's

Hi All

 

I was just wondering what happened to certain posts about photo links to events as i posted one the other day and has seemed to gone.

 

i did notice it saying that only ctw members were allowed or if it had ctw members in the photo set but if the person put the thread up who is a member would that not mean there would be a photo of a member in it.

We're trying to control this section a little better - people were posting up ridiculous posts such as ...

 

"Photos on harderfaster"

 

with no links and no effort made as to what the event was about, date, location, venue etc...

 

If people PM one of the admins or mods, or post in past events, we can move them into the links section.

 

The photos should also contain / be of interest to ctw members

I know i posted photo sets of Rush saying in HF only because i can not do links very good .but i think the photos have members of CTW in them and are of interest as it shows its a event worth visting and is always willing to do discounts especially for CTW as posted in the HHA and as done for Jay and a few other CTWers in the past.

In fairness there was no link to it so even if people were interested how were they going to find them?

but there was a link to a rush photo set that scouse put up and that has gone ,seems abit double standards on this site

Once people learn the rules and get used to the new structures we'll probably open the links forum back up for anyone to post in but with a warning that if no link is posted in the initial post the entire topic will be deleted.

I know exactly what u mean Jana - I actually said 'my Riot pix r now up on harder faster!' The reason I post them there and not on ctw is because I can not post them on ctw and most times in the past when I've taken the time and emailed them to James to put up on ctw they have never appeared. As some of my mates are on ctw I wanted the link to it up for their benefits to see themselves in the pix, obvioulsy this was too much of a prob. I didnt realize it had to be so complicated jsut to put a link up for pix on here!

just make sure you read the notes on the forum index and post a link and useful info in there from now on

BTW guys this IS where we are different as a site - we encourage people to post links to photos - regardless of what site they are on - pity other sites dont take note of this 'sharing' concept ...
