Guest
i think the sort of mic you wouldnt fit. you would need a headphone jack rather than the 3.5mm earphone one. unless you can get converters?

There is a 3.5mm Jack on the side of it which says "Mic (plug in power)" So i'm guessing i'm gonna need some kind of fancy mic with its own power supply? CTW DJs LiamStyles Posted July 6, 2004 CTW DJs Share Posted July 6, 2004 My uncle uses one for live recordings. He did get it in the shop he bought it in as a freebie add on. But I know they are available from most good electrical shops that do a good range of md recorders. It is a specialised mic for MD recorders only I believe, and range in price (and obviously quality) Quote LiamStyles Bet you look good on the dancefloor *LiamStyles - mixes on rotation* Current mix "No Concept Of Time" CLICK HERE
CTW Members Mark Posted July 6, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted July 6, 2004 a standard mic should work fine, i just plugged my PC headset into it and tested with me studio mic and it seems to work fine, headset had an ovious drop in quality a volume. jack converters you can get from most music shops i imagine. depends what kind of mic your after and what your going to use it for (talking, singing etc) you could get a BEYERDYNAMIC TG-X58 for around 40 quid
CTW Members Mark Posted July 6, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted July 6, 2004 also shops like tandys sells tings like that, might be worth you brining your MD to a place like that and asking if you can test the mics and listen back in the headphones, their about 25 quid. you can get like dual point stereo mics and single point mics have a look here: http://www.planetminidisc.com/planetminidi...icrophones.html
