i hate tidy trax tunes, but..............

i've just heard 2 tunes on a one off mix cd by paul maddox i picked up at tw4 and theres 2 tunes i love to bits on there:

 

paul maddox feat. niki mak 'synthosaurus' (vocal mix)

abandon 'psychosis'

 

normally i dont like vocal tracks or hardtrance, but both these tunes have a great deal of depth and emotion to them and dont screem formalaic harddance

maddox is defo one of the only people in the hardhouse/hardtrance scene right now who actually takes time to make decent tunes instead of banging em out one a week.... fair play to him!!!

yeah - not too keen on hit techy tunes tho as i dont think he really understands techno so he usually ends up producing mindless repetative nonsence.

the problem with his techy tunes is that thier not techno. so basically its all the repetativeness of techno w/o ne subtleties.
