i know i havent been on this site long but from what i can tell people seem to take things to seriously.

maybe a little more thought before posting would help.

try get your point across without offending ppl with what you say.

try and understand why a person has that opinion before jumping on their back.

i really cant see the need to ppl to be nasty and spitefull,a forum like this after all should be fun.

i for one dont care whos into wot music,as long as they dont try tell me im wrong in my taste im happy.

Its not that at all. We make suggestions and they get shot down with comments like "it'll be [censored]". Now forgive me here but do you think thats the right attitude, at the end of the day they are ideas, new ideas for the members of this site, we are trying to organise these things for the members WITHOUT making any money from it. Is that wrong? Is it also wrong for people to shoot down ideas (unconstructive) that they haven't even tried. Thats what I mean, those people (not members) that want to cause [censored] and not support what we are 'trying' to do can well, leave. Tell me Dawn, if you were trying something completely new what would you do if people were trying to take the piss or do the best they could to bring it down. Dont tell me you wouldn't be just a 'little pissed off' about it.

Of course i'd be pissed off with it, it goes without saying, but just re-read the above quote of James's, do you not think that members who do try to help with the suggestions/ideas/meetups and really want to see the site go from strength to strength and gain good friendships out of this, will like to read something that almost states, if you weren't on here before *said date* then your one of the reasons it's not working and we don't want you on here and certainly don't want to befriend you ... and if you only like HH well then your immature and until you like funky blah blah blah

No because then no one made destructive comments like what happens now. THings were either supported or we were told where we were going wrong in a CONSTRUCTIVE way. Thats whats being compared. As I read it, and totally my opinion, it was the old members (pre 2003) that he wants only on this site because they liked funky which he now does!

 

This sounds as if i'm having a go ... I'm not ... i'm just trying to put over away OTHER members may have also have read this.
