errm ... funky house with a hint of soul? It's just a bit more vocal led and a bit smoother - kinda more musical, as well as keeping the funky 'jump-up' vibe. I'm a bit [censored] at explaining things, but if i get a chance tonight, i'll stick a few links up to some online mixes that can demonstrate the kind of music i mean .....
