Guest Posted October 28, 2003 Share Posted October 28, 2003 Well before cd decks were comman place, DJs had no choice. If they wanted to "roadtest" a track of theirs they would have to press up an acetate. 1. Becos it was the only kind of vinyl possible, due to the fact normal vinyls can be pressed up in small amounts (normal run is of 500 and no less) So that would be too expensive 2.
