I can totally identfy with wat you've written. I was on this board for 5 months before I went to my first meet-up.

 

Was really scared but Kev came over and gave me a big hug (the first and last time he was actually nice to me ) and everyone just made me feel so welcome. After that night I wondered why it had taken me so long to meet people.

 

Was suffering from low confidence levels and being able to go out and meet new people really boosted my confidence too.

Have made some really close mates and had some quality nights out. I really do appriciate all that James has done to make this site wat it is and for bringing so many people together

i havent been to a meet up yet but met loads of people at tw4.

I was really up to coming along to a meet up in the near future to meet every1 and see wot they're really like as. However i am now having serious 2nd thoughts due to a specific individual's attitude towards me on this board. This cud completely ruin some of my future clubbing plans as im not sure i wud want to go to an event/meet up if i knew he was going.

 

Im sure that that is not the attitude intended to be created by ctw but it is affecting me.

From my experience most people that post harsh stuff on the board come across completely differently when you meet them for real. I wouldn't let one person put you off meet ups, after all there are so many other people really looking forward to meeting you.
