CTW Members Nick G Posted October 29, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted October 29, 2003 Dude - if you're going, get there early and wrap up well - the queues will be round the block by 7. I've been for the last 3 years and it has been rammed out until closing EVERY TIME. Might try and pop along if i get a chance though - some wicked bargains to be had. We picked up 4 Behringer modules for £57 quid a throw, 2 years ago - almost half price (at the time!), and they usually do some wicked prices on their desks too ... ***YAMAHA 02R WITH METERBRIDGE For £3,299 - Saving of £1,356 (RRP £4,655)*** ... if you're interested

CTW Admin James Posted October 31, 2003 Author CTW Admin Share Posted October 31, 2003 Well I've just got back ! Got there at 7pm and the queue was RIDICULOUS - which was to be expected - so bad in fact I didnt bother queing up as it was just crazy and not exactly single-file ! The width of the queue was about 7 man deep ! And must have been a few hundred queing up. So I decided to meet up with Liquideyes anyway and had a drink with him which was cool - nice one Andy. But then I left to go home but thought I'd check the queue one more time and i was amazed to see there were only about 30 people queing by this point due to the excessive rain. Finally got in and I have to say I was overwhelmed by how much was left - if only I had an inexaustable supply of cash ! Anyway, after pissing around for 2 hours and picking up various midi interfaces, sound cards etc.. I found an SW1000XG for £200 (£450 retail I think), its fairly old now but still a dam good card! Was just about to pay when I noticed something FAR superior.. Edirol SD90 128 Voice USB Sound Canvas Module Retail is about £800 but I've seen it for £700 and I think its going on sale soon for £549 at Turnkey. Anyway, they were selling it for £350 ! (brand new, boxed etc..) Couldnt resist it - didnt really know much about Edirol products but suffice to say ive done some research and its a professional card delivering EVERYTHING I need (for now lol). All the ins and outs I need, plus on board synth with 1000 sounds and 30 odd drum kits. Was just about to pay and then spotted something else to get - some nifty Yamaha computer speakers for £30 (instead of £60). Handy just for basic mp3/cd playback ... YST-MS30 Well chuffed now as i've got what i needed but with a huge bonus of features. Its USB as well unlike the SW1000XG (in fact no comparison anyway) so I can use it on the laptop, desktop - fully mobile Ian/Mod - they were selling stuff at silly prices - they had a Virus (black) for something like £550 ! Was very tempted to say the least ! Next year I guess Quote James@ClubTheWorld.uk CTW Admin | ClubTheWorld.uk | Twitter | Instagram Clubbing the world, together ...
