James, good spot mate (actually I've been a member of futureproducers since before I discovered CTW - I should have mentioned it before really!)

Whenever I've asked for gear advice/recommendations on futureproducers in the past, I've always got loads of useful replies within the day (a lot of the members are stateside of course). thumbs.gif

Its quite interesting actually - when I went to the Turnkey sale everyone without exception had the upmost respect for each other - no pushing/shoving/arguing trying to get the goods. I find there is always such a good vibe in music shops - everyone out to help each other out and such a buzzing atmosphere - also no dodgy salepeople wanting to rip you off - instead people who KNOW what they are talking about and will offer you the best advice you can get - for free. QUALITY. Another favourite music shop of mine is Digital Village in Barnet (www.digitalvillage.co.uk) - small but they have everything - I went in once to dicus a new mixer and soundcard and ended up staying about 3-4 hours talking about gear and software packages - i was then asked if i wanted to attend a product overview/training upstairs in the shop - for some new version of Cubase at the time - for free.

Also get this same natural buzz at Music Festivals - which I intend to start going to a LOT more regularly (like I used to when I was early 20s). So if anyone is up for any/all of them next year (I'm talking about 'gear' festivals) let me know !

Yep,i can totally see what you mean.. i think its because everyone has the same love for the music and is genuinely interested in other peoples opinions/views/knowledge and experience with different software/equipment etc etc!! I love it personally!! Id definitely wana go to some music festivals.. wanted to go to the one i posted about a coupla months ago but couldnt so if you find any worth lookin into let me know and ill do the same!! I think there is a decent amount of people on here now that are interested enough to wana go to these things to make it a sucess!! smile.gif
