to be honest i've never been clubbing in scotland so i can't comment on the scene up there

 

end of the day the dance music industry moves on to what-ever is going to have the next longest shelf life, genres rise to the top and fall back down to the underground when its been milked. just another cylcle of life

I think hardcore is having summat of a renaissance atm- like has been said earlier, the pikey whistles n horns image has started to go away, leaving what is a very credible and exciting music form, which, in terms of the complexity of the tracks, is a million miles away from the old happycore stuff of 7/8 years ago

A few good points made.

 

I agree with what Phil and Ali have said. Hardcore has been around for ages and it will be crossed over, hyped up, and ruined.

However, I think while this is happening the new sound (to most new clubbers) will appeal to those pissed off with the Hard house scene. They will get into and change it slighty, as said the crap image of scooter and whistles etc will be lost and it will develop into something different.

 

Hardcore was massive and the main scene over here like Jimmy said it was in Scotland. We had rezurection etc etc.

I think music will always be moving along as each genre changes within itself and new genres become popular, its only natural!! I think a lot of it is to do with new blood comin into the genres producer/dj wise aswell as older ones revamping themselves and bringing new elements to the scenes!! Clubbers will just go with what they like and if it seems to be jumping on a bandwagon then so be it.. to be tho jumping on a bandwagon is just doin it because everyone else is!! Where as i dont think everyone does do this.. people will obviously go to clubs and buy music they like!! This will also decide on what kind of style is popular at any certain point!! Its just natural!! All to do with public opinion, supply and demand and times changing!!
