CTW Admin James Posted November 6, 2003 CTW Admin Share Posted November 6, 2003 FLU usually puts you away in bed for a week, some people can handle it better than others and just spend 2 or 3 days in bed, others are out for 3 weeks What I had this time round was NOT just a common cold - it was full on and all the symtoms of Flu (coughing up thick, discolored or bloody mucus, recurring fever, chest pain, facial swelling, severe pain in the face/forehead/earache, fever, chills and body aches) - as with 4 other people at work who are all having the same symtoms. If we didnt HAVE to be in we WOULD be in bed for 2 weeks to shake it off completely and not infect others - but sadly you just dont have a choice once you are working for a company like this. I even spoke the doctor who was here the other day - when i was going to take the flu jab - who confirmed i already had a strain of it but should re-book the appointment for the jab when i'm fully over it (which we be like next week sometime). I wouldnt wish it on ANYONE - same with tonsalitis (*sp) Quote James@ClubTheWorld.uk CTW Admin | ClubTheWorld.uk | Twitter | Instagram Clubbing the world, together ... CTW Admin James Posted November 6, 2003 CTW Admin Share Posted November 6, 2003 Moo - make sure you get straight onto Anti-Biotics - a couple of time i thought i was hard enough to 'scare it out' when i was younger and it was the worst decision i ever made as it got that much more worse - get on them ASAP - it takes a few days for them to take effect in either case Quote James@ClubTheWorld.uk CTW Admin | ClubTheWorld.uk | Twitter | Instagram Clubbing the world, together ... CTW Members Louise Posted November 6, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted November 6, 2003 iv suffered with tonsilitis since i was a teenager, i usually get it about every 4-6 weeks, was on the waiting list for a tonsilectomy for 5 years, but then was told that i needed them because i my amune system wasnt functioning as it should be. (its your tonsils that sposed to keep the nasties out) i dont bother going doctors anymore unless its a really bad case because by body has now become amune to penecillin and amoxillin.
