Need some PC help!

I feel pretty stoopid as I should know how to do this but Ive tried everything I can think of and it aint happenin!

 

Right basically on my new PC (runnin XP) when I open IE it takes up the whole screen and I cant see the bar at the bottom (the one with the clock etc in) and if say im chattin on MSN I have to keep minimizing to read the message as I cant just click the bottom to bring it up! In fact now i think about it it happes on all programs - word etc.

 

Anyone know how i set it up so that IE opens up behind the bar??

have you tried going into start & clicking settings hon, you can change it all in their

[Tresh]

Try pressing the F11 key...

Yeah i did, but I just re-checked and found the appropriate check box! hehe, im a thick fucker!
