Right you tossers, a question about Decks.

Before I start, i dont want this post to degrade into Genre debating, my decks are better than yours, i can piss highest kinda thing. Heres my question.

 

My decks are [censored], some of you know about the jam on toast incident and i dont want to re live it, im gonna buy some new decks because i have finally decided to start mixing some house ( insted of DnB) & ive also recieeved some bad news lately and i want to treat myself.

 

I want to spend £300 on a new decks mixer everything, i dont want you fuckers saying, buy technics its the only way maaan or if you spend £400 quid you could get this.

 

I want decks & mixer for £300 max.

Ive got numarks already & one of them still works fine and theyre good enough for me. But waht do you lot think.

Solid gold, diamond encrusted Technics Mk12 limited edition, signed by Elvis, they were £75'000 each but they're definately far superior to the ones u have or want, or will ever own ever actually.

jay - your best bet might be too look at the back of DJ mag and iDJ where they have package deals. this way you might even have cash left over or beable to spend the same wod of cash but get a better system

 

it always works out more when you by them sepratly (as i found out the hard way )

ah right. well behringer (i think thats the spelling) do soem good budget mixers. you wont get perfect sound quality, but you'll get an impressive mixer for messing around with.

 

i think the mixer i have isnt made/sold anymore, but it might be a name worth looking out for. hopefully others on here will have better advice tho as i'm still new to all this myself

get cd decks, but u will need to spend more than £300 to get a decent pair tho. which is only prob altho pair of pioneer cdj100s from ebay will prob cost less than £300.

 

Try ebay for a gud deal.

just make sure the mixer you choose has bass, mid and treble on all channles mate. also a gain on each channel will be needed. Only go for a 2 channel mixer if thats all you need, don't spend extra on something you won't be using.

look at gemeni mixers they are what i started mixing with and are very good for the price. strong and reliable too.

 

In my experience behringer are ok, but not built very well, not stong at all. i would go with gemini, just my opinion though mate

This isn't fact, but I have often heard that Behringer mixers aren't very reliable, and break down pretty easy. This isn't good, as I have found you will end up spending more in the long run.

 

Numark are apparently making some pretty good turntables now, so I think that they are probably a good purchase, and Gemini mixers are probably the best mixers in their price range.
