Guest
Agreed, I think you should go for Numark decks. My mate bought some (in your price range) and he is very happy with them. Hes had them over a year and no probs to date. As for mixer, Tony and Ali talk sense. Two channel is all you need, Gemini have some good solid mixers. But also check out some of Numarks. They will do the biz, are robust enough. And you may even get a better package deal for buying a totally Numark package.
CTW Members LiquidEyes Posted November 11, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted November 11, 2003 I've heard the same thing as LML, re Behringer mixers being a bit shoddy. (Although I've got some great value rack-mount Behringer gear.)

The decks are wikid but the mixer doesn't have a middle eq and the xfader (like on all other budget mixers) started to get [censored] very quickly. Jay: get the decks in the link above then get a proper vestax battle mixer for £150 (no fancy gadgetry but the xfader will last and won't piss you off). Guest
My mate bought the Behringer djx700, and i have to say its pretty damn good, solid, and decent sound. He only paid £200 for it, in my eyes it was a bargain. Jay you can have my decks for £100 although they are shite
