CTW Members Claire DC Posted November 11, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted November 11, 2003 Listening now.. some really nice sounds in there.. what software/equipment etc have u used to make this?? Im not sure if the effct ur goin for with ur vocal is to be not so noticable against the stabs.. if so then great if not then just letting u know it isnt lol!! Like the way it kicks in after the vocal.. nice use of the vocal btw, although it is a very popular vocal in itself!! Seems a bit slow although i do know you produce slower so that when mixin it you can pitch it up a bit so thats no real problem!! Will you be sendin this off to labels?? Im not overly knowledgable with hardstyle production but what iv heard i do like!! I will be keeping this on my pc anyway! Nice work! CTW Members Mr Happy Posted November 11, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted November 11, 2003 the screeming noices that kick in @ the 5 min sorta time and play for a little while are a little weak. it sounds like your scraping the barrel for ideas to fill the track. but nice use of effects and its not over produced either Quote Mr Happy's fishy fish MangaFish munch munch MSN & e-mail - mangafish@mangafish.net AOL - MangaMorgan Online mixes - http://www.mangafish.net/mixes/

Nice one Claire I made the tune with a little help off Tugie at his house we made it with Cubase and a basic keyboard. I know the vocal sample has been cained but it was the only one he had on his PC at the time so we decided to use it and yeah we put it quieter that the other sounds in the breakdown on purpose. A few people have said it sounds slow, its set at 150bpm tho so I dunno! Sharkey has suggested I put in a driving hi-hat in it to give it the effect of sounding faster that it is so I think I'll do that he also suggested putting in a trancey riff in the first part of the track coz he said it soundz to techy. I doubt ill send it off to anyone as I odubt it's good enough but if anyone wants to d/l it and play it then thats cool. Cheers Claire, nice one! Quote Welcome to the Darkside! CTW Members Mr Happy Posted November 11, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted November 11, 2003 theres no such thing as 'too techy' altho personally i wouldnt say it was that techy at all - but then i'm too far down the techno road to be saved Quote Mr Happy's fishy fish MangaFish munch munch MSN & e-mail - mangafish@mangafish.net AOL - MangaMorgan Online mixes - http://www.mangafish.net/mixes/

CTW Members Mr Happy Posted November 11, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted November 11, 2003 maybe a simple riff using bells would work better as they have that eery minimal feel to it Quote Mr Happy's fishy fish MangaFish munch munch MSN & e-mail - mangafish@mangafish.net AOL - MangaMorgan Online mixes - http://www.mangafish.net/mixes/

For a vocal thats been cained i think you've done it well tbh.. have you used fx on it then? Yeah i think what Sharkey said about the hi-hat and probably even the trancier riff would work pretty well even tho the techier sound isnt so bad (saw him Friday btw.. he was talking about wearing make up etc haha) I dont think it needs the pitch itself changing cos like i said.. when tunes are pressed to vinyl they are generally slower than they need to be to enable the djs to pitch em up rather than have to pitch them down when mixing!! You might be aswell sending it off tho.. if they say no then uv lost nothing and if they say yes then ur only gaining arent you!! Guest
Not really Laurence, if you send a track, it'll be under a production name (ie. The Guv'nors) If you send another you just send it under a different production name. The people who listen to them wont take the time to remember what the persons actual name was. So couldnt see it being a problem.
