(1) If you trust the companies: It's because they need to recoup the really high costs they incurred setting up the mobile networks, or

 

(2) If you don't trust them: It's because there are only 4 or 5 big provider of mobile services... and they agree (informally) to not compete on price... screw the consumer... and make [censored] loads of cash for the company

Had a mobber since I was 15... Eeeek! About 7 years...

 

They're much, much cheaper these days. Bill usually comes in at around £40 - for 12 and a half hours talking a month, that ain't bad.

It's supply and demand, the greater the demand for somethng, the more expensive that something is. Or some bollox like that.

it depends on who i talk to and text. some day i can go thru bout a fiver...ringing and texting. others ill go ther nothing
